12 Moon 9 On [date], Liu Jian, Chairman of the Group, held a friendly exchange with Maya Stefanović, Ambassador of Serbia to China, in Shijiazhuang. They shared heartfelt sentiments, discussed common development goals, and pledged to work together to strengthen the enduring friendship between China and Serbia.
Milanka Stojaković, First Secretary at the Serbian Embassy in China, participated in the symposium and exchange.
Liu Jian stated that HBIS Group will earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of China and Serbia, work closely with the Serbian government to jointly address external challenges, and spare no effort in promoting the business development of HBIS Serbia. HBIS is accelerating the research and application of a comprehensive, vertically integrated steel model, continuously enhancing the intelligence level of its production lines. In the future, HBIS will draw on proven practices and practical achievements to bring more advanced technologies to HBIS Serbia, further elevating the steel plant’s development standards. At the same time, HBIS will assemble expert teams to collaborate with Serbian employees in tackling key bottlenecks in the steelmaking process, further improving efficiency, reducing costs, and driving new leaps in all operational indicators—thereby creating a better life for the steel plant’s employees through even stronger performance.
Maya Stefanović stated that Hesteel Serbia is a collaborative project jointly promoted by the leaders of China and Serbia, and also a landmark initiative under the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative between the two countries. The achievements Hesteel has made in Serbia are clearly visible: not only has Hesteel Serbia become one of Serbia’s leading export enterprises, but it has also made significant contributions to Serbia’s economic and social development. Looking ahead, the Serbian government and the Serbian Embassy in China will fully support Hesteel’s development in Serbia, working together to create an optimal business environment through the best possible solutions, and jointly driving Hesteel Serbia to achieve greater benefits and even better development.

China Jinmao River Steel (Hebei) Equity Investment Fund Established
On December 25, the founding meeting of the Zhongjin Hegang (Hebei) Development Equity Investment Fund was held at the Hegang R&D Center. Zhao Chenxin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Hebei Province, Liu Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Hegang Group, and Chen Liang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of China Jinmao, attended the meeting and jointly witnessed the establishment of the fund. Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Mubarak Al-Sabah, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of BlueFive Capital Group and representative of the reserve sub-fund, delivered a statement. The joint establishment of this fund by Hegang Group and China Jinmao Capital represents a strategic move for both parties to explore new growth areas and cultivate new drivers of development. It is also a pragmatic step toward creating a new model of industry-finance integration and contributing to the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The fund has a total size of 32 billion yuan and an operational period of 15 years.

Lu Jianguang, General Manager of Wugang Company, along with company leaders Gao Zhen, Yin Guojun, Hu Jun, Zhang Huajun, Liu Jianlei, and Yang Zengguo, as well as Assistant General Managers Zhu Xinwang and Zhang Chenguang, and Deputy Chief Engineer Wei Ming, joined the vast workforce in a vigorous run toward the rising sun, their steps firm and resolute, their spirits high and uplifting—thus ushering in a new chapter for Wugang Company as it strives to become the most competitive leader in the wide and thick plate industry.
On December 26, Lu Jianguang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Wugang Company of HBIS Group, chaired a special study and seminar for the Party Committee’s theoretical study center group. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping, deeply grasp the profound significance of the statement that “the steel industry is a vital foundational industry for our country,” and resolutely carry out the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the provincial party committee regarding next year’s economic work.
