12 Moon 1 On [date], Liu Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, presided over a special study and seminar for the Party Committee’s theoretical study group. He emphasized that we must integrate in-depth study and thorough understanding of Xi Jinping’s economic thought with the study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party. We should closely align ourselves with the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the provincial party committee, scientifically plan and formulate the “15th Five-Year Plan,” rigorously ensure the effective implementation of all tasks at the grassroots level, continuously open up new prospects for high-quality development of the Group, and make new and greater contributions to vigorously writing the Hebei chapter of Chinese-style modernization.
Wang Lanyu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of the Group, along with other members of the Party Committee’s central study group, attended the meeting. The Chairman of the Group’s Trade Union, Group Directors, and responsible officials from the Party and Mass Work departments also attended the meeting as observers.
At the meeting, members of the Party Committee’s central study group focused on studying selected chapters from Volume One of “Selected Works on Xi Jinping’s Economic Thought,” the important remarks made by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour in Guangdong, the “Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Ideological and Political Work,” and the spirit of the Ninth Plenary Session of the Tenth Provincial Party Committee. Building on their prior self-study, participants delivered oral or written statements centered on studying and implementing Xi Jinping’s economic thought, sharing their insights and discussing specific implementation measures.
Liu Jian emphasized that we must, from the perspective of deeply understanding the decisive significance of the “Two Establishments” and firmly upholding the “Two Safeguards,” study and make good use of Volume I of “Selected Works of Xi Jinping on Economic Issues.” We should gain a profound grasp of the core essence and spiritual substance of Xi Jinping’s economic thought, enhance our theoretical confidence in using the Party’s innovative theories to analyze the situation, meet challenges, and solve difficult problems, and continuously improve our ability and competence in carrying out production and business operations. We must integrate in-depth study and comprehension of Xi Jinping’s economic thought with the study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. We should closely align our work planning and preparation for the 15th Five-Year Plan with the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, adopt a “nailing down” approach to ensure effective implementation of tasks, and constantly open up new prospects for the group’s high-quality development.
Liu Jian emphasized that we must implement the spirit of the 9th Plenary Session of the 10th Provincial Party Committee with even more pragmatic measures, accurately grasp the key objectives and priority tasks for Hebei’s economic and social development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and demonstrate the sense of responsibility and commitment of the province’s largest state-owned enterprise. We must remain committed to serving national strategies such as the construction of the Xiong’an New Area and the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, promote the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, vigorously advance key initiatives including the R&D and application of specialized flagship products and large-scale steel models, foster and expand emerging and future industries, further liberate our thinking, strive for progress with vigor, and ensure rigorous implementation at every stage of our work, thus making new and greater contributions to writing a new chapter for Hebei’s modernization drive in the Chinese style.
Liu Jian emphasized that we must recognize the significant importance of the issuance of the Regulations from an even higher perspective, deeply understand the extreme importance of ideological and political work, and, with a high degree of ideological awareness and a strong sense of responsibility, carry out solid ideological and political work in the new era, thereby providing robust political and ideological guarantees for the group’s high-quality development. We must pay close attention to strengthening our grasp of the Party’s innovative theories, adopt tailored approaches to ideological and political work across various fields, and integrate such efforts with the practical resolution of production and operational challenges. We must uphold and strengthen the Party’s overall leadership, strictly implement the accountability system for ideological work, reinforce team and platform building, and promote the sustained, effective, and long-term impact of ideological and political work.
