In accordance with the arrangements and requirements of the CPC Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Group Party Committee, 6 month 30 On [date], Lu Jiangguang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Wugang Company under Hebei Iron and Steel Group, delivered a special Party lecture on fostering and practicing a correct view of political achievements, titled “Emphasizing Performance Orientation, Strengthening Responsibility and Commitment, Empowering Wugang’s High-Quality Development with a Correct View of Political Achievements, and Ensuring the Fulfillment of Annual Goals.” He stressed that studying and implementing Xi Jinping’s Thought on Party Building should be regarded as an important political task for the present and the period ahead, and that it is essential to deeply understand General Secretary Xi Jinping’s significant expositions on establishing and upholding a correct view of political achievements, while putting them into practice within the company. “1144” Our working approach is to transform our work style, pursue concrete results through diligent and pragmatic efforts, and guide all cadres and employees to focus their energy entirely on their duties. Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to gain a clear understanding of ourselves and to confront crises and challenges head-on. Industry competition has entered a red‑hot phase, and our performance in quality, delivery, and cost still falls short of market demands. Our equipment capabilities and management standards must be further improved, while the awareness of some cadres and employees remains stuck at its previous level. We must wake up and embrace change.
Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to remain steadfast in confidence and rally collective resolve. With more than fifty years of technological expertise and a dedicated team of cadres and employees who are deeply committed to Wugang, we possess the company’s greatest source of strength and its most valuable asset. We firmly believe that no endeavor is easy, nor are there any challenges that cannot be overcome. As long as all cadres and employees treat Wugang’s affairs as their own, devote themselves wholeheartedly to its success, and approach their work with both passion and a sense of responsibility, we will surely turn the current situation around.
Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to set an example through leadership and shoulder our historic responsibilities. We must advance all aspects of the company’s work with a strong sense of historical duty and mission, ensuring that everything we do lives up to the expectations of Wugang, our broad workforce, and ourselves. Members of the company’s leadership team must lead by example, guiding from the top down, and approach issues from the perspective of Wugang’s overall interests and the well-being of our employees and their families. Each level should demonstrate accountability to the next, driving progress together—leading by example and working hand in hand—to help all cadres and workers fundamentally transform ingrained mindsets and habitual ways of thinking, take proactive action, and deliver concrete results through diligent effort.
Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to enhance the ability to identify and resolve problems. The most essential quality of leading cadres is their capacity to spot and address issues; in particular, the principal leader plays a pivotal role for an organization. Leaders must adopt a broader perspective, refrain from complaining or shirking responsibility, complement one another, and proactively identify and tackle challenges. Critical quality‑related equipment must never be operated while defective, and equipment management should return to a comprehensive lifecycle approach that integrates inspection, maintenance, and repair.
Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to cultivate a sense of high standards and to eliminate low‑standard practices. As Sun Tzu’s Art of War states: “ He who seeks the highest shall attain the middle; he who seeks the middle shall attain the lower; he who seeks the lower will surely fail. ” We must advance all our work to the highest standards. The root cause of quality issues lies in insufficient self‑imposed rigor, which has led to many quality problems becoming commonplace and to even slight lapses in quality management triggering an immediate resurgence. To address this, we propose… “ Zero defects in products ” The guiding principle must be consistently and steadfastly implemented.
Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to prioritize management effectiveness and judge success based on performance. “ Management without results is ineffective management. ” Saying something is not the same as doing it, and doing it does not necessarily mean doing it well. When we take action, we must see it through to the end and deliver tangible results. Company leadership and all departments must manage strictly in accordance with established standards and procedures, ensuring rigorous oversight at every stage and for every line of business. By comprehensively elevating our foundational management capabilities, we will help Wugang steadily embark on a path of sound and sustainable development.
Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to adhere to the principle of seeking truth from facts and to put an end to falsification and deception. We must cultivate a work style that is pragmatic and grounded in reality, resolutely preventing violations such as data manipulation. Data falsification is a red line and a high‑pressure threshold; it distorts business decision‑making, hinders our efforts to improve and advance, and represents a quintessential example of a misguided approach to performance evaluation. Such behavior must be met with zero tolerance.
