On April 17, Lu Jiangguang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Wugang Company under Hebei Iron and Steel Group, chaired a special study and discussion session of the Party Committee’s Theoretical Study Center Group. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, firmly establish and deeply put into practice this correct view, steadily advance all activities under the Group’s “Three Transformations” Enhancement Year, and effectively translate the outcomes of study and education into tangible results and practical achievements that drive high-quality development at Wugang Company.
Members of the Theoretical Study Center Group of the Party Committee of Wugang Company attended the meeting. Also in attendance were the company’s assistant general manager and deputy chief engineer, as well as responsible officials from the Party and Mass Work Department, including young mid-level full-time cadres born after 1985.
During the meeting, members of the Theoretical Study Center of the Party Committee of Wugang Company conducted a集中 study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on establishing and practicing a correct view of official achievements, the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks during his participation in the deliberations of the Jiangsu delegation at the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress, the “Zhengding, Hebei” chapter of “Vivid Practices of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Adherence to a Correct View of Official Achievements During His Time in Local Posts,” General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on the holistic national security concept, the Regulations on the Honest Conduct of Leaders of State-Owned Enterprises, and the “Cryptography: Making People’s Lives Safer—A Comprehensive Review of Work Progress Two Years After the Promulgation of the Cryptography Law of the People’s Republic of China.” Focusing on the theme of “Deeply Understanding the Important Significance of Establishing and Practicing a Correct View of Official Achievements and Solidifying the Ideological Foundation of Serving the Public Interest,” participants closely linked the study to their ideological and practical work, delivering either oral or written statements, sharing their learning insights and implementation measures, thereby deepening their ideological understanding and strengthening their ideological foundation.
Lu Jianguang emphasized the need to study and comprehend deeply, and to firmly establish and thoroughly put into practice a correct view of political achievements. General Secretary Xi Jinping has profoundly elucidated the profound significance and fundamental stance of a correct view of political achievements, stressing that “the issue of the view of political achievements is a fundamental one” and that “the decisive factor in establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements is Party spirit.” Firmly establishing and thoroughly putting into practice a correct view of political achievements is an inevitable requirement for implementing the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee, as well as an urgent need for cultivating a high-caliber cadre team and promoting the high-quality development of Wugang Company. We must demonstrate a high degree of political consciousness, accurately grasp the core essence of a correct view of political achievements, align ourselves with the practical requirements of high-quality development, fully, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy, strive to provide better living conditions and a superior environment for the broad ranks of employees, and earnestly translate the establishment and practice of a correct view of political achievements into concrete actions for getting things done and starting businesses, as well as into tangible results and effective outcomes that drive high-quality development.
Lu Jiangguang emphasized the need to be pragmatic and down-to-earth, and to steadily advance development along the “high-end, intelligent, and green” pathways. This is not only a key measure for implementing the Group’s arrangements and promoting high-quality development at Wugang Company to ensure a strong start during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, but also a practical approach to fostering and upholding a sound performance-oriented outlook. Leading cadres at all levels of the company must regularly conduct external study tours and exchanges, ensuring thorough deliberation and evidence-based decision-making. By adopting higher standards and more concrete measures, we must optimize both the product mix and the customer base, propel Wugang Company toward the high end of the industrial and value chains, and strengthen its core competitiveness. We must focus on “ultimate efficiency,” accelerating the implementation and tangible results of intelligent manufacturing, intelligent marketing, and intelligent services, thereby transforming Wugang Company into a fully integrated smart enterprise and igniting a powerful engine for high-quality development. At the same time, we must prioritize “ultimate energy efficiency,” driving Wugang Company to achieve greener production, greener products, and greener energy use.
Lu Jianguang emphasized the need for a sense of responsibility and pragmatic action, using high-quality development outcomes to assess the effectiveness of study and education. The campaign to establish and practice a correct view of political achievements must be treated as a major political task at present; responsibilities must be rigorously enforced, with leading cadres setting an example by studying deeply and thoroughly, conducting in-depth investigations and research, and taking the lead in self-examination and rectification. This will guide the broad ranks of Party members and cadres to maintain a firm political stance and uphold Party principles, ensuring that the correct view of political achievements is truly internalized and translated into concrete actions. We must consciously implement the Overall National Security Concept, gain a profound understanding of the significance of implementing the Cryptography Law, balance development with security, and firmly safeguard the bottom line of safe enterprise development. Leading cadres at all levels should, in accordance with their respective duties and divisions of labor, devote themselves wholeheartedly, continuously innovate, and effectively enhance management standards. We must emphasize performance orientation, strengthen practical commitment and accountability, and conscientiously implement the Group’s key work plans. Focusing on the priority tasks of the “Three Transformations” Enhancement Year, we will adopt checklist-based management, project-driven advancement, and clearly defined accountability, striving to “break four barriers” and achieve “four extremes.” By translating the correct view of political achievements into tangible results through hard work and real accomplishments, we will ensure that the outcomes of the study and education are reflected in the promotion and implementation of the “four extremes” and in the successful completion of all tasks and targets assigned by the Group, thereby continuously advancing Wugang Company toward higher-end, smarter, and greener operations.

After ten years of intensive research and sustained efforts, the project has successfully overcome the challenges in producing high-strength, tough, extra-thick steel plates—materials essential for building such national strategic assets as ultra-large deepwater drilling platforms, massive wind‑farm installation vessels, and 10,000‑meter‑class submersibles.
