On the morning of January 16, Lu Jianguang, General Manager of Wugang Company of HBIS Group, led a team to visit a strategic partner in the offshore engineering equipment manufacturing sector. During the visit, the two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion and exchange on topics including international and domestic energy supply, trends in offshore shipbuilding development, and advanced deep-processing of steel plates. Long Jie, Deputy General Manager of Wugang Company, accompanied the visit, and relevant officials from the Sales Department, the Science and Technology Department, and the Market Management Department also participated.
During the symposium and exchange, Lu Jianguang expressed gratitude for the long-term trust and support that customers have consistently shown toward Wugang Company. He pointed out that over the years, both sides have worked closely together, fostering mutual growth and building a solid foundation of cooperation with remarkable achievements. In recent years, the total volume of cooperation has steadily increased, and the supply of ultra-high-strength steel plates for offshore engineering has grown significantly. Thanks to their outstanding performance—such as high strength and excellent resistance to marine corrosion—Wugang’s premium steel plates have ensured the smooth progress of numerous key wind power and offshore engineering projects both at home and abroad. Looking ahead, Wugang will closely adhere to the “1144” working approach, focusing on the core track of high-end offshore engineering steel. We will resolutely “break through four barriers” and implement “four extremes,” paying close attention to customers’ customized needs. Departments including sales and technology will work in tandem to establish specialized service teams, accelerate joint bidding for key tracked projects, continuously optimize product quality, enhance service efficiency, refine the production and sales system, and ensure timely contract fulfillment. Once the ultra-thick plate quenching line is completed and put into operation, it will further boost our capacity to produce high-end products, break through technological bottlenecks in replacing imported high-end offshore engineering steel, seize an early lead in the global offshore engineering market, and achieve higher-level, broader-scope collaborative development between both parties.
The senior leadership of the client warmly welcomed the visit of Lu Jianguang and his delegation, highly praising Wugang’s technological strength and service capabilities in the field of high-end offshore engineering steel. He pointed out: “As a core manufacturing base for high-end offshore equipment in China, we have in recent years been strategically expanding our global R&D efforts and developing the new-energy equipment manufacturing sector. As a result, demand for high-reliability, customized steel plates has been steadily increasing. Wugang’s steel plates have performed exceptionally well in numerous major projects, and several high-end steel grades tailored to meet stringent standards have provided crucial support for expanding our markets both domestically and internationally. In our future collaboration, we look forward to further deepening the synergy among industry, academia, research, and application. Leveraging the company’s full-chain equipment manufacturing capabilities, we will feed back steel demand information to help Wugang continuously upgrade and iterate its products. We also hope that during the upswing phase of the shipbuilding and offshore engineering markets, we can scale up our cooperation, broaden our collaborative areas, and move from simple product supply toward a deeper, mutually beneficial strategic partnership—thus jointly contributing to the building of a strong maritime nation.”
