The new year has dawned, bringing with it fresh beginnings and a renewed spirit. As we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new, on behalf of the Party Committee and the company, I would like to extend our sincerest blessings and heartfelt gratitude to all employees who are tirelessly working on every front, to the family members who selflessly support them, to friends from all walks of life who have shown concern and support for the development of Wugang Company, and to all our valued customers!
Looking back to 2025, with firm and resolute steps forward, we’ve stood tall at the forefront of the steel industry’s wave, leaving our mark on the journey toward high-quality development. Our blast furnace daily output has surpassed 4,550 tons, our converter monthly production has exceeded 189,000 tons, and sales of high-tech products have broken through 220,000 tons. Moreover, our new-generation mold steels exhibit wear resistance that exceeds that of comparable imported grades by more than 30%. With the attainment of the UKCA certificate from the UK and the expansion of our international standards coverage, “Made by Wugang” is now recognized and trusted worldwide! These remarkable achievements are the result of the hard work and dedication of all our employees, showcasing the robust strength of this leading enterprise in wide-plate steel production.
In 2026, the year marking the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan, Wugang Company will put into practice its “1144” working philosophy, adhere to the guiding principle of performance evaluation centered on efficiency, and firmly pursue its special steel path characterized by “transforming work styles, enhancing corporate image, strengthening implementation, and achieving tangible results.” We will “break through four barriers,” implement “four extremes,” and continue writing a year of proactive commitment and responsibility!
In the new year, we will harness the vitality of all employees by focusing on performance—strictly implementing the Group’s strategic plans, staying firmly centered on efficiency, and strengthening performance management for every employee. We’ll promote a “strong incentive, strict constraint” approach and adopt a “one-person, one-form” assessment mechanism, recognizing excellence based on actual performance and validating true competence through tangible results.

In the new year, we will forge exceptional quality through “four extremes”—embracing the philosophy that “all costs can be reduced,” benchmarking against industry leaders to drive continuous improvement and achieve ultimate cost efficiency; breaking historical records across the entire iron and steel rolling process, significantly boosting production output and realizing ultimate operational efficiency; mobilizing all employees to tackle energy consumption reduction head-on, accelerating project implementation, and contributing to ultimate energy efficiency; and steadfastly reinforcing quality awareness, refining management practices to enhance brand premium, and establishing an ultimate brand.
In the new year, we will hone our pragmatic work style through “four breakthroughs”—adhering to a strict tone in execution, maintaining meticulous standards throughout the process, and shouldering responsibilities with a practical approach. We’ll refine our competitive edge with uncompromising rigor, forge high-quality special steel products with a craftsman’s spirit, break through obstacles through concrete action, and blaze a trail with a sense of responsibility.
In the new year, we will pave the way to happiness through unity and hard work—making collaboration instinctive, turning striving into action, and letting care spread warmth. Recently, the results of the 2026 Metallurgical Science and Technology Awards were announced. The project “Development and Application of Key Technologies for High-Strength, Tough, Extra-Thick Steel Plates for Marine Equipment,” jointly submitted by Wugang Company and Northeastern University, was awarded the Grand Prize, marking a major breakthrough for China in the field of critical materials for marine engineering. On August 19, Lu Jiangguang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Wugang Company under HBIS Group, led a delegation to visit a high-end client in the construction engineering sector and a leading enterprise in the large‑scale supply chain services field. Through face-to-face discussions, they aligned with customer needs, deepened collaborative ties, and expanded avenues for cooperation.
On the afternoon of August 18, Lu Jiangguang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Wugang Company under Hebei Iron and Steel Group, led a delegation to visit a leading client in the chemical and energy engineering design sector. The two sides held an in-depth symposium to jointly explore collaborative development models across the industrial chain, further expand opportunities for cooperation in high-end steel applications, and deepen their strategic dialogue.
