On March 31, Lu Jiangguang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Wugang Company under Hebei Iron and Steel Group, chaired a study session of the Party Committee’s Theoretical Study Center, focusing on studying the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his inspection of the Xiong’an New Area in Hebei Province and his subsequent symposium on further advancing the high-quality construction and development of the Xiong’an New Area. He emphasized the need to elevate political awareness, gain a profound understanding of the essential spirit, accurately grasp the practical requirements, and ensure that both thinking and action are fully aligned with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee. He called for strengthening our sense of mission and responsibility, firmly prioritizing high-quality development as the primary task, leveraging new-quality productive forces to accelerate structural adjustments at Wugang, proactively supporting the overall cause of the construction and development of the Xiong’an New Area, continuously building strong synergy for work and entrepreneurship, and contributing to the vigorous writing of Wugang’s chapter in the cause of Chinese modernization.
Members of the Theoretical Study Center Group of the Party Committee of Wugang Company attended the meeting. Assistants to the General Manager, Deputy Chief Engineers, and responsible officials from the Party and Mass Work Department of Wugang Company were present as non-voting attendees.
Lu Jianguang emphasized the need to elevate our political stance, gain a profound understanding of the essential spirit, accurately grasp the practical requirements, and ensure that our thinking and actions are fully aligned with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s inspection of the Xiong’an New Area and his subsequent important address have charted the course for deepening the high-quality construction and development of the New Area, while also providing fundamental guidance for Wugang Company to serve national strategies, promote high-quality development, and accelerate the cultivation of new drivers of productivity. All units must regard studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech as a major political task, comprehensively enhance their political, ideological, and practical consciousness in carrying out and implementing it, and unswervingly forge ahead in the direction indicated by General Secretary Xi Jinping.
Lu Jianguang emphasized the need to strengthen our sense of mission and responsibility, firmly grasp the primary task of high-quality development, and leverage new-quality productive forces to guide Wugang in accelerating structural adjustment and proactively supporting the overall cause of the Xiong’an New Area’s construction and development. As a flagship enterprise in the special steel segment of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, Wugang must adopt a proactive stance and actively serve the national agenda, the work priorities of Hebei Province, and the broader strategic objectives of the Group. Grounded in Wugang’s functional positioning and core responsibilities, the company should closely align with the “Xiong’an Quality” standards and the key tasks of coordinated development among Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, providing high-quality, green steel materials and multi-dimensional, precision-driven, efficient collaboration to the Xiong’an New Area. In doing so, Wugang will continuously enhance its core competitiveness and capacity for sustainable development while contributing to the development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region and the construction of the Xiong’an New Area.
Lu Jianguang emphasized the need to uphold Party leadership as the guiding principle, firmly establish and thoroughly implement a correct view of political achievements, and continuously pool strong synergy for getting things done and starting businesses. It is essential to unswervingly uphold the Party’s leadership, strengthen Party building, conduct in-depth study and education on fostering and practicing a correct view of political achievements, vigorously promote a work style that seeks truth from facts and is pragmatic and action-oriented, highlight performance orientation, reinforce a sense of responsibility and accountability, and guide the broad ranks of Party members and cadres to apply the “nailing-down” spirit in ensuring that all tasks are carried out effectively. In this way, the outcomes of study and education must be genuinely translated into concrete results that drive high-quality development in Wugang, thereby contributing to the vigorous writing of Wugang’s chapter in the cause of Chinese modernization.

On August 12, Liu Jian, Chairman of the Group, and Qi Mengdao, Global President of Industrial Furnaces at Andritz Group, held a working discussion at the Group’s headquarters to explore new avenues for cooperation and forge a win-win future.

On August 11, Liu Jian, Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee and Chairman, presided over a study session of the Group Party Committee’s Theoretical Study Center. He emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping’s Thought on Party Building, fully implement the overarching requirements for Party building in the new era, foster and practice a correct view of political achievements, and translate the outcomes of study and education into concrete measures and practical actions that address the challenges facing production, operations, and reform and development. He called for concerted efforts to ensure the effective implementation of all key tasks and to secure a strong start to the Group’s 15th Five-Year Plan period.
